David H. McCormick is the Division 2 judge of the Fifteenth Circuit of Arkansas. Governor Mike Huckabee appointed him to the position in 2002. He was re-elected in 2008 and again in 2014, for a term lasting from January 1, 2015 until the end of 2020

Education

McCormick received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from University of Central Arkansas at Conway. He completed his J.D. at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1979

Career

Before becoming a circuit judge, McCormick was a district judge for Yell County. Previously, he was the London city judge, and a city attorney for Dover, Dardanelle and Ola. From 1986 to 1988, McCormick was a deputy prosecuting attorney for Yell County. He was also a juvenile referee for the county from 1980 to 1984. He was admitted to the Arkansas Bar in 1979
